WHAT: St. Jude Red Carpet for Hope 2017 Chicago. The third annual Red Carpet for Hope will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, where no family ever receives a bill for treatment, travel, housing, or food. The screening gala and fundraiser will feature a live telecast of the 74th Annual Golden Globe® Awards, as St. Jude is the official charitable partner of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Guests can enjoy exciting live and silent auctions, cocktails and dinner while listening to an inspiring presentation and participating in opportunities to support the cause.
St. Jude Red Carpet for Hope events will take place simultaneously in four cities across the U.S.: Chicago, Minneapolis, Houston and Miami.
WHO: The Chicago event, with an estimated 275 guests, will feature a special St. Jude patient speaker sharing their story.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened in 1962. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
