Make Your Next Overnight or Extended Stay Banging When You Book with Bangtel

Airbnb, the hotel alternative, just got an upgrade thanks to former wardrobe and prop stylist Liz Klafeta. Liz transferred her styling skills to interior design creating one of the most uniquely decorated homes in Chicago. She rehabbed her three-bedroom Humboldt Park townhouse in 2007 letting her artistic ideas run wild. Then six years later she packed her bags to move to New York but couldn’t wrap her head around selling the space after all the hard work she put into it so she decided to list it on Airbnb. Overwhelmed by the plethora of bookings and positive responses, an idea was born…. Welcome Bangtel, formerly Homestead International, currently available in New York City and Chicago.

Klafeta has since listed her New York digs on Bangtel as well as acquired a number of other spaces in Chicago which she has transformed into eye-catching works of art. Bangtel now proudly rents short-term and long-term stays in eight Chicago neighborhoods. Click here to see the magnificent spaces available for brief and extended stays.

There is no idea too far-fetched for Liz Klafeta. She is an outside-the-box, over-the-top, gutsy creator who thrives on a challenge. Think glass walls, graffiti, larger-than-life wall art, neon signs, over-sized animal sculptures, bright and bold colors, floating beds, etc. Her most recent endeavor is a collaboration with New Era development company. Together they will open a one-of-a-kind bed and breakfast in Lincoln Park that will include a theater, a gym, a floating bed, unique art, wet bar, ping pong table, and more. The space is incredible and will be bookable through Airbnb or Bangtel. It will contain 5 units ranging from $300-$550 per night.

Desserts from Yo Soy and Nana Cream

We got a sneak peek of the B&B space and it’s incredible! New Era & Liz thought of every detail making the space unique and inviting. Guests previewed a couple of the units available for rent at a private event while enjoying special treats. Prosecco was flowing, Knob Creek Whiskey was poured, Revolution Fist City brews were sipped, and Bloody Marys were specially made at a build-your-own bar. Plus there were delicious sweets from Yo Soy and Nana Creme including a smores bar. And The Storied Table added a touch of culture to the night with hand-selected home decor from around the world.

Bangtel has a few tricks up its sleeve besides offering unbelievable interior spaces. Their rentals will showcase rotating art installations, full concierge services, a curated minibar or box paid for out of your security deposit, and an option to buy the cool artwork, furniture, or textiles you love at your rental.

Need your dog walked, your hair & makeup done, help organizing an event, a private chef? Whatever your needs are, Bangtel is there for you with their 24 hour concierge service. Want a floating bed of your own, love the tree stump end table, or see a piece of art you want to take home? Shop the Bangtel curated store.

Next time you have friends or family in town or you just need a staycation, consider booking a place with Bangtel. I plan on staying at the new Lincoln Park Bed and Breakfast and sharing my experience on the blog so be sure to return to Now You Know Events for my review.
