Taste Talks Chicago 2017 Celebrates the Future of Taste

Taste Talks, the innovative and experiential food symposium that attracted over 2,000 food enthusiasts last year, returns to the Windy City this fall! From Friday, October 6th – Sunday, October 8th, locals can experience interactive panel discussions & tastings, underground dinners, parties and a celebrity chef cookout featuring some of the nation’s top chefs!

After wrapping up its fifth annual Taste Talks Brooklyn festival (September 8–10) and before heading to Los Angeles (October 27–29) and Miami (November 17–19), Taste Talks Chicago 2017 is bringing together some of the world’s top luminaries in food and drink – from writers and critics to chefs, bakers and brew masters – to discuss, analyze, and theorize about the FUTURE OF TASTE.

To date, participants include: Bravo’s Top Chef alum, cookbook author & international celebrity chef Fabio Viviani (MercatoSiena TavernPrime & Provisions), Abe Conlon (Fat Rice), Matthias Merges (A10Billy SundayYusho), Bravo’s Top Chef alum Sarah Grueneberg (Monteverde), Mindy Segal (HotChocolate), John Manion (La Sirena ClandestinaEl Che Bar), Ashlee Aubin (Salero), Dan Salls (Quiote), Diana Davila (Mi Tocaya Antojeria) and many more to come!

ALL-STAR COOKOUT | Sunday, October 8 | Palmer Square in Logan Square

Expect a day of culinary indulgence and discovery. Twelve top chefs from across the country throwdown their best BBQ creations! Participants include Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods host Andrew ZimmernFood & Wine’s “Best New Chef 2017” Noah Sandoval (Oriole), Bravo’s Top Chef alum, cookbook author & international celebrity chef Fabio Viviani (MercatoSiena TavernPrime & Provisions), Abe Conlon (Fat Rice), Dan Salls (Quiote), Diana Davila (Mi Tocaya Antojeria) and many more to come!

CONFERENCE PANELS AND PROGRAMMING | Saturday, October 7 | Revival Food Hall

Spend a full day with some of the best and brightest chefs, authors, journalists and makers with food-driven panels, presentations, demos and tastings. In addition, Taste Talks partners with Kellogg’s® to present the custom-built Kellogg’s Cereal Bar, where attendees can sample original cereal creations from celebrity chefs and judge their new creations in a live Kellogg’s Cereal Bar Throwdown competition on Saturdayat 12-12:45 pm!
