for a Tiki Cocktail Class
on Wednesday, March 25th at Lush West Town
. Tiki lovers are transported to a tropical destination, learning how to whip up “The Bottomless Tiki Punchbowl” while sipping on other Polynesian-inspired cocktails. Escaping the winter blues is just what the doctor prescribed for Chicagoans and for one night, Adam Seger welcomes guests in for tiki time. It’s a tropical vacation, without the airfare and sunburn.
A welcome shot of Rambutan and Tiki Rum awaits attendees to kick off the evening, followed by a Classic Old-School Trader Vik Mai Tai, continuing the tropical cheer. Next, Adam leads imbibers through a demonstration …on how to construct one of his favorite original punch recipes – The Bottomless Tiki Punchbowl – with tasting to follow. With the mantra “Something Strong, Something Weak, Something Sour, Something Sweet,” guests will create, with guidance, their own personal Tiki punch recipe (and cocktail capping off their night) that they can use to delight and entertain their friends anytime. A spread of themed snacks from the Lush kitchen provides a great complement to Seger’s tropical beverages.
All of the components to recreate the class’ cocktails are available to purchase at Lush for attendees to recreate at home. Lush’s friendly staff – as well as Seger – will also be on hand to assist with browsing the shelves for rums, syrups, bitters, mixers and more.
The cost to attend is $40 per person.
