I’ll Push You The Camino Journey of 500 Miles

After hiking the famed 500-mile El Camino de Santiago trail in Spain, two best friends are bringing their inspirational story to movie theaters with the help of Fathom Events when I’ll Push You: The Camino Journey of 500 Miles, Two Best Friends and One Wheelchair hits theaters nationwide for one-night-only on November 2 at 7:30 p.m.local time.

Presented by Fathom Events and Emota Inc., in partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), ‘I’ll Push You’ tells the true story of lifelong friends, Justin Skeesuck and Patrick Gray, and their five-and-a-half-week journey hiking the challenging, vast terrains of Spain in 2014. These friends show the true test of humanity by physically and mentally pushing each other, as Justin, fighting a neuromuscular disease is pushed all 500 miles in his wheelchair by his best friend. Through various challenges, each friend realizes the greatest journey will be that of self-discovery, a sense of purpose and love of a community who, ultimately, redefine the meaning of the phrase, I’LL PUSH YOU.

Following the documentary, this one-night event will include a panel discussion with Skeesuck and Gray, who co-directed the film. The panel will be hosted by Grammy®-nominated musician and Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Billy Gilman (NBC’s “The Voice”).

Tickets for “I’ll Push You: The Camino Journey of 500 Miles, Two Best Friends and One Wheelchair” can be purchased online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in more than 550 select movie theaters nationwide. For a complete list of theater locations visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).

“Three years ago, we set out to accomplish this impossible journey,” Skeesuck said. “To have it documented on film was a dream come true, but to finally be able to share it with the world, I’m not sure I have words to adequately describe the joy I feel.”

“To finally have a chance to share our story with so many people is incredible,” Gray said. “We have been blessed to live this life, to be a part of this story. For others to find hope in it is a beautiful and humbling thing.”
