Happy New Year 2018

Cheers and Happy New Year 2018

Happy New Year! I don’t know about you but I am so excited for 2018! As I have mentioned in previous posts, last year was not the best and I am glad 2017 is coming to a close. Nevertheless, I will take everything that happened in the past year and use it to fuel me into the new year foraging ahead with a positive attitude and an optimistic outlook.

My main focus for this year will be my career. I’m focused and I’m determined. I really believe great things are coming my way. I will let my hope and faith guide me and lean on the support of all the incredible people in my life. In addition to getting my career back I track, there are a few more things I resolve to do in 2018.

Most importantly, I resolve to be more patient, more loving, and more determined than ever! I am considering a new challenge each month of 2018. Right before the new year, I challenged myself to run a 5K. For those of you that don’t know, I HATE running! I HATE it so much but I wanted to do this for myself. And while a 5K isn’t much for many of you, it’s like a marathon for me. Nevertheless, I went for it and completed it last week. My knees are now paying the price but the point is, I did it!

So, what else can I challenge myself to do in 2018? I don’t want to get crazy with this so some of my thoughts are as follows. Read one new book a month. Learn sign language. Take a dance class. What else? Share your ideas with me, please.

I don’t know what you all have planned for 2018 but if checking out Chicago’s dining scene is on your list, I’ve got a special deal for you. Have you heard of the Chicago Dining Out Passbook 2018? It’s this really cool deal book filled with offers from over 50 Chicago restaurants. It’s filled with tons of BOGO (buy one get one) coupons and more dining out specials. It sells for $99 but if you use code NowYouKnow, you only pay $39. Buy your Dining Out Passbook Chicago here.

To help you navigate the book easier, I have also created a Chicago Dining Out Passbook Map that pins every participating restaurant, describes the offer, and has each location color categorized by deal.

It’s a new year and I know I haven’t had a ton of events to share with you lately but I have a couple for you.

Who doesn’t love a good cocktail deal or to laugh or support a great cause or celebrate an awesome birthday?
